
Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi have evacuated their Carpinteria, California home.
The daytime TV host, who owns multiple properties, revealed on Sunday that their beachfront house is “under threat of being burned” by the Thomas fire. The couple have since taken their pets to safety.

She wrote on Twitter:
Our house is under threat of being burned. We just had to evacuate our pets. I’m praying for everyone in our community and thankful to all the incredible firefighters. The live stream is on https://t.co/FTcKVvHO16

And continued about their community:

The Thomas fire is the biggest of six wildfires totally ravaging Southern California, covering over 230k acres to make it the fifth largest in the state’s history!
Tens of thousands of people have been forced to evacuate.
We can only hope people stay safe as firefighters continue to brave the fires!
