Ansel Elgort & Timothée Chalamet Went To High School Together -- And Still Can't Agree On Who Was More Popular!

Ansel Elgort and Timothée Chalamet may not have competed in the same Best Actor category at the Golden Globes this year, but the two DID compete at Laguardia High School.
Yes, both Hollywood heartthrobs went to the same performing arts school before they shot off into stardom. They played on the same basketball team, tried out for the same school plays, and, we can only assume, got into at least one Step Up-style dance battle.

But this knowledge raises a burning question: which future star was more popular?
MTV‘s Josh Horowitz asked both actors that question on the red carpet Sunday — and let’s just say, they both remember their high school days differently.
