9-Year-Old Boy At Campaign Rally Asks Pete Buttigieg For Advice On Coming Out

Pete Buttigieg responds to 9-year-old boy on campaign trail asking him about being gay

This made for quite the moment on the campaign trail!

Presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg was holding a rally in Aurora, Colorado over the weekend when he decided to start fielding questions from the audience — and got one that was very welcome, but very unexpected.

Word got to the Democrat, who is gay, that a 9-year-old boy in the audience wanted Pete’s help and advice on how to come out to his friends and family. Immediately upon hearing the question, the crowd started cheering the boy on, and Pete quickly invited him up to the stage to talk.

As you can see (below), the two enjoyed a touching few minutes together on stage, with the South Bend, Indiana mayor offering up some good advice to the growing kid:

Awww! Super touching!

So incredible that the boy had such bravery and pride to do something like that. And Pete’s last line asking him not to run for President for a while was a pretty good ender, too! LOLz!!!
