Let’s hope he sticks with this longer than he did with Footloose! (We’re still a little miffed about that!)
Kenny Ortega, the genius man behind High School Musical and Michael Jackson’s This Is It, has been pegged to helm the film adaptation of the Tony Award winning musical, In The Heights.
Backed by Universal, Kenny will join original writer, composer and star of the hit musical, Lin-Manuel Miranda, as he reprises his role and adds producer to his credits.
It’s very hard to capture the magic of theatre on-screen, but maybe this will have a fighting chance.
