Eva Peron is Broadway bound once again as sources claim Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice are in the middle of finalizing a deal for the revival.
If all goes to plan, the show will open next year at the Nederlander theater and star a much-raved about Elena Rodger as the lead. Already, the native of Buenos Aires is receiving praise from the press for the role, as critics exclaim:
“Senorita Roger is big, big news. She’s going to make this fine musical, oddly overlooked in recent years, a great hooter of a hit all over again.”
She’s no Madge, but we’ll keep an open mind!
