Seems like this is all working out pretty well!
To recap, back in March, The Wire actress Felicia “Snoop” Pearson was arrested in a drug raid that resulted in more than sixty people being brought in.
As we said before, she had previously been convicted of second-degree murder in a slaying committed when she was 14, for which she served five years of an eight-year sentence and was released in 2000….and she was ALSO arrested on a minor drug charge in 2008.
She pleaded NOT GUILTY to her most recent drug-related arrest back in May, but NOW she’s changed her mind and decided to plead guilty to a “conspiracy charge to distribute heroin.”
According to Snoop’s attorney, she changed her plea so she wouldn’t “have to deal with the charges,” and as a result she’s been sentenced to “three years of supervised probation.”
Could be SO much worse! We’ll keep our fingers crossed that Snoop will take this as an opportunity to turn her life around. She’s clearly very talented, and we’d hate to see that go to waste because of drugs. Yuck.
Good luck, Snoop!
