Donkey Kong, Pac-Man and Pong, OH MY!
The ’80s are back! No, not hair spray and David Bowie — though he’s never left — the classic video games of the ’80s are here to take over the world in the the new trailer for Pixels (above).

The movie features intergalactic aliens who misunderstand a time capsule sent to them and see it as an act of war against them. So they do what we’d all do, manifest themselves as ’80s video games and attack the Earth!
The film stars Adam Sandler as a former Pac-Man champion, Peter Dinklage, the Donkey Kong champion, Josh Gad, master of Centipede — no not THAT centipede, the video game! — and Michelle Monaghan as Lieutenant Colonel Vanessa van Patten, a weapons specialist. Kevin James also stars as the President of the United States and best friends with Sandler’s character — hey if ’80s video games can invade us we’ll buy James as president.
