We had heard rumors that a couple tracks – Daydreamer, Hometown Glory – on Adele’s debut album 19 were inspired by a boyfriend confused about his sexual identity…
But a new, unofficial biography by Marc Shapiro may provide some insight in to the REAL heartbreak that inspired such beautiful, soulful songs!
And yes, it apparently WAS a bisexual boy who caused our darling Adele so much pain – and ultimate success!
Shapiro reveals:
“One thing we know├óΓé¼┬ª Is that it was a first love gone terribly bad. Adele had professed her love and he did the same, she had known he was bisexual but, in the rush of romance, felt they could make it work. Four hours after laying their emotional cards on the table, the boy ran off with one of Adele’s gay friends!”
Gaa! We can’t even imagine the emotional turmoil Adele must have gone through…
BUT, this is a PRIME example of how events we believe to be utterly sorrowful and heart-tearing, can have SUCH a meaningful place in one’s life!
Because who knows if Adele would have been fueled to create such genius musical constructions if someone hadn’t provided her with raw, emotional material?!
Get inspired by Adele, and translate your hurt into something wonderful!
