Even though Adele may have just announced her split from longtime husband Simon Konecki, the famed British singer was clearly thinking far from that just a few months ago!
According to media reports which uncovered a legal deed from January 24 of this year, Adele — full name Adele Laurie Blue Adkins — granted a home to Simon. Not even three months later, the pair has started the divorce process. So what happened?!

The official legal deed from back in January was clear, stating in no uncertain terms (below):
“Adele Laurie Blue Adkins, spouse of Simon Konecki, hereby grants to Simon Konecki, a married man as his sole and separate property.”
Hearing that sure sounds like he’ll be able to keep that home after divorce proceedings, one would imagine, though the couple has only just announced their split, of course, and they’re far from going through the inevitable legal wrangling.
This new reveal, first reported by Radar Online, comes just days after the Rolling In The Deep singer first announced that she was breaking up with her husband of at least two years. The pair’s relationship has long been shrouded in privacy, though, as they’ve been together for at least seven or eight years and together have Angelo, a son born in 2012.
The entertainment world was first rocked by Adele’s news just the other day, when she made the official announcement about breaking things off with Simon, a charity entrepreneur. Though she didn’t reveal too much in the statement itself, fans began to wonder immediately about her mental state and recovery, as well as what this might mean for the pair’s young son.

From there, fans began to wonder seriously about Adele’s upcoming music, and how good her next album might be specifically because of the pending divorce. Maybe not the best or most appropriate thing to be worrying about at a time like this, but Adele trended overnight on social media as fans came to grips with the news of her major life change.
