Amanda Bynes Is Currently Living With Her Parents And Reportedly 'Open To Getting Help'

Amanda Bynes sober living facility updates

Well, there appears to be some good news regarding Amanda Bynes‘ current well-being and living situation.

Late Thursday night, we reported on Bynes’ sudden departure from the sober facility where she’d previously been living. At the time, sources reported the former All That star’s whereabouts were unknown to even her own parents, who were concerned about the potential for a relapse.

Fortunately, now we know at least one important thing has cleared up: her parents do know where the embattled former child star is! She’s reportedly living with them right now while she looks for her own permanent place to call home, according to ET. What a relief!

According to exclusive reporting by the outlet, Bynes checked out of her sober living facility last week, and has been living in Ventura County with her parents ever since. In fact, news broke out as it did on Thursday because Bynes and her family were in a Ventura County courtroom that afternoon along with their conservatorship attorney, confirming with a judge whether it was legally acceptable for the former fashion student to be on her own again.

Apparently a discussion in court on Thursday about Bynes’ potential new living arrangements was substantive, while a source confirmed she’s still close with her parents throughout this whole ordeal. The insider noted (below):

“She has a great relationship with them. She’s always in touch with them.”

Good! So it sounds like things may be progressing along nicely in some ways.

Still, addiction is a very, very tough disease, and we hope Bynes and her family continue to stay vigilant.

But What About School?!

Multiple outlets have confirmed Bynes did in fact drop out of her bachelor’s degree program at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandise (FIDM). The 33-year-old had earned her associate’s degree from the school in June, but according to a source who spoke to E! News on Thursday night, the secondary program wasn’t working for her (below):

“She dropped out of the FIDM bachelor degree program she enrolled in… [and] is not working. She has access to her money so she’s financially independent. [And she is] not doing drugs again, though that is always the concern.”

Having money with no responsibilities is something of a concern, to say the least, but we’re optimistic…

And the same source confirms the former TV starlet has all but moved on from the sober living facility for good, too, adding more about Bynes’ current mental and living situations:

“She may not go back [to the facility], but again, she’s not doing drugs and mentally and physically she’s okay. She does not have to go back but it’s unclear what’s going to happen. She is open to getting help. In court her parents were reassured that she’s doing well and okay and that everything is back on track.”

Again, she’s not out of the woods yet, but things sound… OK? Certainly better than what we first heard last night!

What do U think about this ongoing situation, Perezcious readers? On the whole, Amanda appears to be doing better now than she has in the recent past, but as the last 24 hours goes to show, things can go from good to bad very quickly when addiction is involved.

Our thoughts and prayers are with her and her family as they continue to navigate this difficult road. We wish the best for everybody involved!
