Amber Heard is accusing Johnny Depp of lying to the court about one major fight that broke out between them — and she apparently has the receipts to prove it.
As we reported, the Pirates of the Caribbean star claimed the actress’ friend, iO Tillet Wright, waited over an hour and a half before calling the Los Angeles Police Department the night of May 21, 2016 in response to an alleged altercation between the couple.
Initially, the Aquaman star stated that she was on the phone with Wright when the alleged physical attack began. Wright later testified to calling 911 after hearing Heard scream out during the incident. Earlier this month, however, Depp’s team disputed the timeline presented in Heard and Wright’s “concocted abuse charade,” arguing that police logs didn’t show Wright placing the call until 10:00 p.m..
But now, Heard is hitting back in yet another filing in the former couple’s ongoing legal dispute.

According to The Blast, the 33-year-old provided records that show a call was, in fact, made at exactly 8:30 p.m. on May 21 — just like she and Wright claimed in their original account. The log states that authorities “received call [from] victim friend ‘Amber’, Assaulted by boyfriend, refused to give further [information].”
According to police records, a second call was then made at 10:09 p.m. — the call Depp’s team claimed was the first — which reads:
“[F]emale stated she was on phone with her friend and she began screaming at her husband, subj Amber Heard, Husband Johnny Heard.”
Interestingly enough, the records filed by Amber also confirm one of the points Depp’s attorneys have made about the alleged domestic abuse: that the actress told police the two were only engaged in a “verbal dispute.”
One of the last logs published by LAPD claims officers notes that cops “met w/vict. [checked] loc. verified husband left. loc vict advised verbal dispute and refused to give any [further] info. issue bus card.”
According to previous statements filed by the responding officers, they did not see any evidence of physical abuse suffered by Heard. So, while Amber’s new filings may address a hole in Depp’s story, it doesn’t look like they fully support her claims either.
Still, Amber says in these new legal docs that her ex-husband is clearly lying to the court. The docs state that Depp “clearly perjured himself claiming that there was only one 911 call reporting his abuse on the evening of May 21, 2016. “
The accusation is part of a move from Heard to request that Depp’s defamation case against her be moved out of Virginia and to her local jurisdiction in California. Her team states in the filing:
“Readily obtainable public records of LAPD call logs from that evening show that iO Tillet Wright called 911 at 8:30 PM to report Mr. Depp’s violent and destructive behavior that evening, confirming the eyewitness accounts of how iO heard that Mr. Depp was becoming violent toward Ms. Heard over the phone and then called 911.”
Depp has long denied his ex-wife’s abuse allegations since Heard first made them in May 2016. In a recent declaration in the case, Depp said he still believes Amber “walked into court to obtain a temporary restraining order with painted-on bruises.”
But Heard insists that Depp is the one who’s not being truthful. Along with the new police logs, the actress says she wants the actor to be “held responsible for submitting provably false and misleading, and in any event, irrelevant -statements in his declaration,” adding:
“These signal an intention by Mr. Depp to litigate in the court of public opinion.”
She went on to denounce the “new evidence” Depp’s team has presented against her in the ongoing defamation suit, alleging:
“The true impetus of this lawsuit is not the alleged defamation but that three years after the fact, Mr. Depp found ‘new evidence’ he wanted to present to a court some 3,000 miles from where any evidence or witnesses are found.”
Video surveillance from that night, obtained by Depp’s legal counsel, actually shows the actor leaving the Los Angeles apartment he shared with Heard at the time around 8:30 at night.

Unsurprisingly, Depp’s attorney Adam Waldman has dismissed Heard’s new filing as yet another attempt to “defraud her abused hoax victim (Depp)” and “other real abuse victims worldwide.” Waldman said in a statement to The Blast:
“Ms. Heard says she ‘will not be silenced,’ and then remains silent for months as her hoax is buried by the avalanche of evidence. As for her hoax-assisting friends, willing to perjure themselves for her 3 years ago ― where are they now? Ms. Heard continues to defraud her abused hoax victim Mr. Depp, the #metoo movement she masquerades as the leader of, and other real abuse victims worldwide.”
A judge will make the decision on whether the case will be moved to California or remain in Virginia.
