Amber Heard's Former Stylist Disputes Claims That Johnny Depp Gave The Actress Two Black Eyes In New Testimony

Hairstylist accuses Amber Heard of Lying

Johnny Depp has seemingly found a new ally in his legal battle against ex-wife Amber Heard: the actress’ former personal stylist!
In a new testimony obtained by the actor’s legal team, celebrity fashion guru Samantha McMillen disputed Heard’s claim that her ex gave her a black eye during their tumultuous marriage in 2015.
Per The Blast, she explained she has styled Heard for “major events” since 2014. One of those events was helping the star get ready for her December 16, 2015 appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden — a day after the actress later alleged that Depp had given her two black eyes during an argument that broke out the previous night.

However, the stylist to the stars insists she did not see any visible injuries on the actress when she was working with her on the day she was appearing on the CBS late night show. She testified:

“On December 16, 2015, I spent much of the day and evening with Amber Heard, preparing her to appear on the James Corden show. I saw her throughout the day of December 16, 2015, in good light, at close range, wearing no makeup. Throughout the day of December 16, 2015, I could see clearly that Amber Heard did not have any visible marks, bruises, cuts, or injuries to her face or any other part of her body. She appeared as a guest on the James Corden show that day.”

She alleged that Amber later told her that she had “two black eyes,” despite the fact that the actress was “visibly uninjured” at that moment, according to McMillan.
Samantha continued:

“After the show, Ms. Heard said to me ‘can you believe I just did that show with two black eyes?’ Ms. Heard did not have any black eyes and had been visibly uninjured throughout the day and at that moment. I later learned that Ms. Heard had accused Johnny Depp, in court filings and the media, of violently abusing her the previous night, December 15, 2015.”

Wow.

This testimony could be a game-changer in the ongoing defamation suit the Pirates of the Caribbean star filed against his ex-wife, as McMillen is a major member of the Hollywood glam scene. She has been a longtime stylist for Elle Fanning and recently styled Brie Larson’s glammed-out look for the Avengers: Endgame premiere.
In other words, why would a working, A-list stylist make something like this up? Although, is it possible she’s biased?
Looking at her bio on her agency The Wall Group‘s site, she notably mentions working with Depp but not Heard:

“Today, her celebrity clientele includes Elle and Dakota Fanning, Johnny Depp, Ryan Gosling, Brie Larson, Evan Rachel Wood, Chris Hemsworth, and Chris Rock.”

Here’s just one Instagram post she shared in tribute to her A-list client:

Of course, even if there was possible bias, why would she risk so much with false testimony?
Heard described the alleged incident later, while seeking a restraining order against Depp. She claimed that he had split her lip and given her two black eyes during an argument that caused her to have “truly feared for my life.”
The account was corroborated by Heard’s friend, iO Tillett Wright, who claimed she saw evidence of the bloody altercation in an article, writing:

“[Amber] described an all-out assault and she woke up with her pillow covered in blood. I know this because I went to their house. I saw the pillow with my own eyes. I saw the busted lip and the clumps of hair on the floor. I got the phone call immediately after it happened, her screaming and crying, a stoic woman reduced to sobs. As she, shaking and crying, described this 195-pound man throwing the full weight of his body into head-butting his 120-pound wife.”

McMillan’s account clearly paints a different picture.
Is it possible that Heard’s injuries simply hadn’t formed yet?

According to Healthline.com, a person’s skin will “typically look pink or red” in response to being struck. The bruise, or black eye, will form “within one or two days” of the injury after the blood that has collected at the injury site “turns a bluish or dark purple color.”
So, it does seem unlikely that Heard would’ve had “no visible injuries” on her face the day after the alleged attack — especially to someone who saw her up close and barefaced.

The new testimony supports Depp’s claims that Heard has been lying about the alleged abuse.
In the $50 million defamation lawsuit he filed against her in March — which came in response to an op-ed she penned in the Washington Post — the actor’s attorneys claimed that the 33-year-old “purported to write from the perspective of ‘a public figure representing domestic abuse’ and claimed that she ‘felt the full force of our culture’s wrath for women who speak out’ when she ‘spoke up against sexual violence.'”
Heard eventually responded to the defamation suit by submitting a graphic account of abuse she allegedly suffered over the course of their relationship. Depp’s team soon hit back, calling the filing a “hoax confronted with the reality of evidence requires new lies to sustain itself.” They also have multiple witnesses supporting their case.
