Amber Portwood‘s boyfriend, Andrew Glennon, wants sole custody of their 1-year-old son, James, following her arrest.
As we reported, last Friday in Indianapolis, the Teen Mom OG star was booked for domestic battery after allegedly assaulting her baby daddy while he was holding their child.

According to TMZ on Tuesday, Glennon filed legal documents, and is demanding an emergency hearing regarding custody.
Reportedly, Portwood and her beau had a heated argument, which allegedly resulted in her assaulting him around 2 a.m.
Per dispatch audio of the alleged incident, Glennon claimed his and his son’s lives were in danger.
Per a police report, Andrew texted a police officer that very thing, and added:
“I need help.”
Reportedly, Andrew told authorities Amber hit him with her shoe on the right side of his neck, causing pain and abrasions.
An officer reportedly saw the marks on Glennon’s neck, and took photos for evidence.
Additionally, Andrew reportedly told cops this was not the first time Amber had struck him, adding she allegedly threatened to physically harm him numerous times.
Allegedly, Portwood admitted to hitting Glennon, but said it was lightly on his shoulder — and only did so because he was recording her.
Fortunately, little James was reportedly not harmed in the alleged altercation.
Of course, this is not the first time Amber has been in trouble with the law.
In 2012, Portwood went to prison for 17 months after violating her probation in a drug possession case. At the time, she had a choice of going to prison or rehab, and she chose prison.
She was also arrested in 2010 on domestic violence charges after a fight broke out with her first baby daddy, Gary Shirley — with whom she shares 10-year-old daughter Leah.
In addition to substance abuse issues, Amber has openly struggled with depression, borderline personality disorder, and anger issues. She also suffered from severe postpartum depression after her son’s birth, and admitted she has contemplated suicide.
In a December 2018 episode of Teen Mom OG, Amber revealed to her cousin:
“There was a night that I was waiting for [Andrew] and James to go to bed so I could kill myself. And for some odd reason, he could feel it and he was like, ‘I’m not going to bed.'”
Speaking of Gary…
Following her arrest, he wrote on Twitter:
“My prayers are with @AmberLPortwood, Andrew, & most importantly baby James. Idk any of the particulars, however I’m thinking of them. And for all the questions and concerns Leah was/is currently camping with her best friend.”
