Aww, we feel absolutely terrible for Mr. Jay Manuel!
A source close to the former America’s Next Top Model star EXCLUSIVELY revealed that he is going through a TERRIBLE ordeal with his 3-year-old home in Connecticut.

According to the insider, Jay’s dream house, which was once featured on an episode of Designer Living, is now in SHAMBLES.
Unfortunately for the 42-year-old, he was forced to evacuate his casa last February after an appalling framing/insulation defect caused a massive water condensing flaw in the home’s exterior walls.
Ugh, how AWFUL!
The source added:
“The rot uncovered was consistent with a poorly build home over 75 years old.”
How unacceptable for brand new digs!!
Due to the “latent building defects” of the house, insurance companies backed away from the whole nightmare, forcing Manuel to rebuild the ENTIRE home out of pocket.
Understandably, Jay has filed a suit against the husband and wife building team responsible — Eric and Magdalena Kotonski of EK Construction LLC — and they’ve allegedly dragged the case on, which has made matters a lot worse for the makeup maven.
The silver lining in this terrible situation is that Jay was able to rent a modest apartment during the rebuild and he’ll stay with family during the holidays.
