Amy Winehouse's Dad Reveals That Blake Started Her On Hard Drugs.

Such a tragedy.

During Anderson Cooper‘s premiere episode of his new talk series, Anderson, Amy Winehouse‘s parents, Mitch and Janice, appeared to discuss the death of their daughter, and during which gave some insight into how her estranged husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, started her down the path of hard drug use, and how they feared it would take her life four years ago.

Mitch explained:

“Blake isn’t the blame for her death…but it’s without question – according to Amy, and he said so himself – he was the one who started her on the hard drugs. And that was indisputable. If she had died four years ago, we would have all held our hands up at that point and we would have said, ‘fair enough,’ because she was very ill. She was taking an inordinate amount of drugs, and it was a struggle to keep her going. We would not have been surprised, if four years ago, she would have died.”

This just makes it all the more heartbreaking, because she really had overcome so much in the past few years.

Seems unfair that after everything she went through, she would still lose her life at such a young age.

Our thoughts go out to Mitch and Janice, as well as all of her friends and loved ones.
