Amy Winehouse's Father Cancels NYC Performance, Flying Back To London

We can’t even begin to imagine what this poor man is going through right now.

When news broke that Amy Winehouse has been found dead in her London flat, it appears that her father, Mitch, had been unaware of the devastating news, as he was on a plane to NYC to prepare for a performance at the Blue Note jazz club this coming Monday.

We’re very sad to report that he’s landed, and has canceled the gig so he can head straight back to England to be with his family during this impossible tragedy.

Our thoughts are with him, as well as all of Amy’s loved ones.

We sincerely hope that wherever she is now, she’s at peace.
