Andrew Garfield is revolted and disgusted by the now infamous celebrity nude photo hacking.
The 99 Homes star has been promoting his new films, but he paused from doing that in an interview with The Daily Beast to say something incredibly important about the hacking that affected Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Upton, and many others.
Among many completely true points, Andrew called out the targeted hacking as ‘misogynistic’ in nature.
Which couldn’t be more true.
He said:

‘It’s disgusting. ‘I have a right to your naked body or images that you’ve sent to your husband, or lover.’ It’s disgusting. It’s this violent, abusive violation of womanhood ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ of divine womanhood. It’s violent, and it’s misogynistic, and it’s revolting, and it’s another example of what this distance has enabled us to do├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥it’s enabled us to be disassociated from each other.
There’s enough awful shit coming from it that hopefully we’ll get to the point of, ‘OK, wait a second.’ What’s scary is that we haven’t reached that point yet, and there hasn’t been a referendum put on it. The Internet is the new Wild West. There’s a guy now taking these pictures and putting them up in an art gallery. What fucking right does he have to do that? It’s absolutely revolting.’

Thankfully, the guy who was going to be putting them in a gallery won’t be doing that anymore, so hopefully Andrew an be happy about that.
However, we can totally see the point he is making.
To specifically target these celebrity women because one man felt entitled to seeing their bodies naked IS misogynistic and beyond disgusting.
