Stephen Colbert has had a lot of guests on his show during his 11-season run with The Late Show, but only one has truly left him totally enamored!
During an episode of the Strike Force Five podcast honoring the host’s final episode after his unfair cancellation, he looked back on some of the stars who appeared on the show over the years, including the one he found so “wildly” attractive that it was “distracting!” He said:
“I’ll tell you who I did not expect to be wildly attracted to. Like, I didn’t know what to do with myself. I like this person’s work, but I never thought of them as like a bombshell. I did not know what to do with my eyeballs when Michelle Williams was on for the first time.”

Yep! It is none other than the stunning actress Michelle Williams!
Michelle first showed up on The Late Show in April 2019 to promote her miniseries Fosse/Verdon. Stephen continued:
“She sat down across from me and I went, ‘F**k, what is wrong with my head? I’d better not look directly at her for this entire interview.’ There was something about her vibe, her face, everything. She’s so beautiful.”
He’s not wrong! Michelle has returned several times to the show since, most recently to talk about her series Dying for Sex in April 2025. Sadly, she won’t get to go on again. Stephen’s last episode is next Thursday! Ugh!
Michelle is not the only celeb to leave Stephen in awe! He also mentions Rachel Weisz, Rebecca Ferguson, and Andrew Garfield! Talking about The Mummy star, he expressed:
“I used to have a Rachel Weisz problem. When Rachel Weisz would be on, I would leave the building for fear I would say something stupid.”
When it comes to Andrew, Stephen called him “so attractive.” To which Jimmy Kimmel interjected to remind the comedian that he “kissed him” during a January 2017 episode of The Late Show. Relieve the moment (below):

Stephen can’t help but gush about that kiss to this day, too! He said:
“Or he kissed me. We did get our hands tangled in each other’s hair. It was really nice.”
