Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie Are 'More Cordial' And 'Aiming Toward Resolutions' Amid Coronavirus Pandemic

Things are on the upswing for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie‘s co-parenting relationship!

Despite the anxiety-inducing coronavirus pandemic and stay-at-home orders still in place in Los Angeles, the exes are finally in a good place, or at least as good of a place as they can be right now.

An insider shared with Us Weekly:

“Things between Brad and Angelina are better than they have been. They’re more cordial — they’re aiming toward resolutions that work for each of them.”

That’s such great news!! We’re sure their kids,18-year-old Maddox, 16-year-old Pax, 15-year-old Zahara, 13-year-old Shiloh, and 11-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne, who they famously went to war over for custody, are pleased as well.

Apparently, the Mr. & Mrs. Smith co-stars have come to an agreement: Pitt sees the younger children every few days, per a second source. As we’ve previously shared, the Academy Award winner has a strained relationship with his two eldest sons, but Angie does provide updates on them. Let’s hope down the road they’re able to work things out!

Speaking of Miz Jolie, she has been “impressed with Brad’s continued sobriety,” the confidant shared. You can thank Bradley Cooper for that one!! Despite Alcoholics Anonymous meetings not being held in person due to social distancing regulations, the second insider noted “he’s in regular contact with his support network,” which we can assume includes pal Alia Shawkat!

The Fight Club star previously detailed to The New York Times how being part of an AA recovery group helped during his most vulnerable time:

“I had taken things as far as I could take it, so I removed my drinking privileges. You had all these men sitting around being open and honest in a way I have never heard. It was this safe space where there was little judgment, and therefore little judgment of yourself. It was actually really freeing just to expose the ugly sides of yourself. There’s great value in that.”

While Brad wouldn’t comment on the impact of his split on his work aside from that he “had family stuff going on,” James Gray — the writer/director of Ad Astra which Pitt starred in — explained what it was like to begin working with the actor not long after Brangelina came to a halt:

“He definitely used the stimuli from his life. Now, I didn’t get personal with him about it at all — I don’t think it’s my business, or even my job — but he investigated the essence of the character through himself.”

Seems like Brad is really doing better. We love to see it!!
