And she doesn’t!
The singer sat down with the Wall Street Journal to talk about her new album, Aretha Franklin Sings the Great Diva Classics, and during the 10 minute interview, she was asked what she thought about singers Adele, Alicia Keys, and Whitney Houston, and she had complimentary things to say.
But ask her about Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj, there was little R-E-S-P-E-C-T on a musical level!

It’s possible that Aretha isn’t a big fan of the ladies’ music, but we didn’t know she felt this un-strongly about them!
