Ariana Grande Throws Shade At Carrie Underwood For Botched Trump Inauguration Performance!

Ariana Grande was not a fan of Carrie Underwood‘s inauguration performance!

The country star was blasted for agreeing to perform at Donald Trump‘s ceremony, and it looks like karma came for her during her big moment because just as she was about to start singing, her backing track stopped working. After a super awkward few moments, she decided to sing a capella with the help of the audience.

The quick thinking earned her a ton of praise from viewers — but not everyone was loving it! First, check it out:

On Monday, the Wicked star threw shade at the Before He Cheats artist by “liking” an Instagram post about the rendition of America the Beautiful. The post featured a photo of Carrie mid-performance with Kamala Harris standing behind her making a shocked expression. It was captioned:

“Kamala Harris evoking Coco Montrese (‘Girl, find the note’) watching Carrie Underwood at today’s chilling Inauguration.”

LOLz!!

If you don’t know, Coco Montrese was on Ru Paul’s Drag Race All Stars during Season 2 and went viral for a confessional telling another contestant to “find the note.” So, clearly, Ari didn’t think Carrie nailed that performance! Hah!

The diss wasn’t lost on fans as they commented:

“Ariana liked this lmfao

“ARIANA HAHAH”

“ily Ariana”

Others joked about the performance and the former VP’s expression, writing:

“Her cassette tape breaking so she had to sing acapella? The gays did that!!!”

“She’s saying … ok girl, I get why he cheated.”

“After watching that performance, she’s the only vote I regret.”

LMFAO!

That said, there were plenty of others who thought she did a great job, especially under the circumstances. So, it really depends on who you ask. FWIW, the American Idol alum is said to have had a “hissy fit” after the mishap, causing her to leave the event feeling like “she was not afforded the same level of respect or admiration that previous performers” were given. But, like, we don’t know what she expected?! That’s what you get for supporting a convicted felon, we guess!

What do YOU think?! How’d Carrie do in your opinion? Tell us in the comments (below).
