Oh wow.
It’s being reported that former Howard Stern personality Artie Lange was arrested for possession of cocaine, heroin, and drug paraphernalia in Hoboken, New Jersey on Sunday. Yikes!
This news comes just days after Artie’s former coworker Joey Boots‘ cause of death was revealed as a heroin overdose.

A spokesman for the Hoboken Police Department says of the arrest:
“Officers responded to the area of 14th Street and Shipyard Lane [where Lange lives] on a report of someone attempting to enter a vehicle that was parked inside the garage. Officer Zeszotarski was able to observe what appeared to be suspected heroin and cocaine inside the vehicle. A male later identified as the defendant approached the officers and confirmed it was his vehicle…. A search of his person also revealed several more bags of suspected heroin along with cocaine.”
Not good!
On Friday, police confirmed he was released on a summons and will have an upcoming court date.
Oddly enough, he also took to Twitter on Friday, writing he’s just fine:

We really hope Artie gets the help he needs. The comedian has struggled with drug and alcohol abuse for years, and you may remember he was hospitalized in 2010 following a suicide attempt.
