Avril Lavigne Spotted Hanging Out With & Hugging Tyga?! What About Mod Sun??

Avril Lavigne went out on Sunday night with… Tyga?!

The 38-year-old pop star was spotted at beloved celebrity-friendly eatery Nobu in Malibu, California on Sunday night. Paparazzi cameras showed her heading out with Tyga and even getting physical with him at one point — which is definitely the last thing we ever expected to see!

Then again, Tyga used to be with Kylie Jenner and Avril dated Brody Jenner waaaaay back in the day, so… maybe they were just using dinner to bond over those old flames?? LOLz!

Jenner jokes aside, TMZ had some key details about how it all went down on Sunday night. The outlet reports the duo “seemed to be hitting it off” according to insiders who watched them dine together at the beach-side restaurant. Then, weirdly, they “hugged it out after dinner in the parking lot” like they were saying goodbye — but they didn’t part ways! Instead, they left together “in the same car.” Awkward! Maybe they got their signals crossed in front of the paps??

According to that same outlet, other insiders claim Avril and Tyga have been “hanging out together a lot lately.” Nobody knows exactly what is going on between the two of them. That media outlet merely says it is still “unclear” if things have moved towards any hot-and-heavy romance.

But these hangouts are definitely surprising all the same! Especially considering Avril got engaged to Mod Sun just about a year ago now. Those two were spotted chilling together on their own date night right around Christmas. And TMZ notes Avril and her fiancé (?) were seen at a pre-Grammys party early this month as well.

So what gives here?! Is this just two music biz pals hanging out?! Or is this the most unexpected (potential) celebrity couple of 2023 so far??
