Bam Margera was arrested AGAIN this week, this time on charges of driving under the influence and reckless driving. He is currently being held in prison in Chester County, Pennsylvania. Oof.
According to a report first published by Mainline Media News on Thursday, the Jackass alum was originally taken into custody by troopers from the Pennsylvania State Police back on Monday. That day, in the city of McConnellsburg in Fulton County, the former MTV star was allegedly observed driving recklessly. He was detained on the DUI and reckless driving charges, then eventually released.
But on Wednesday, according to the report, the reality TV veteran was again taken into custody after speaking with law enforcement officials in Chester County who determined that the Monday arrest had violated the terms of his probation from prior run-ins with the law. So he was re-arrested and taken to Chester County Prison, where he remains. Per multiple reports citing court documents, Bam will stay in jail over the weekend and then have a preliminary hearing before Common Pleas Judge Patrick Carmody on Monday.

The initial arrest on Monday violated terms of Bam’s probation related to the guilty plea he delivered in June on the much-publicized April 2023 incident involving his brother at their family’s Pennsylvania home. At the time of his June guilty plea, which was to a pair of disorderly conduct charges, the court ordered Bam to complete six months of probation under their supervision.
Obviously, this arrest falls well within that six-month period. And not only that, but Bam’s plea deal called for him to submit to random drug testing as well as mental health treatment. Should this new DUI allegation be proven in court, that could further impact his probation.
Per that same Mainline Media News report, probation officer Bradford Griffith noted in this week’s court documents that the MTV vet is an “overt danger” to himself and others with this conduct. Furthermore, Griffith claimed in the docs that Bam has not complied with the terms of his probation when it comes to getting help for drug and alcohol abuse.
Ugh…
Bam has obviously been through a lot over the past few years — and put his loved ones through a whole hell of a lot, too. We just hope this situation resolves itself well for all involved — even if that means tough love for Bam to keep him safe from himself.
