Barbara Walters Finally Sets Her TV Departure Date & It's Much Sooner Than We All Anticipated!

Last May, Barbara Walters confirmed her departure from The View to the whole world, and now we finally know when the TV journalist will be bidding her talk show adieu!
Babz is set to make her final appearance on The View on May 16th!
While The View host will be leaving her seat open for someone else, she’ll still be involved behind the scenes as an executive producer!
How could she not? Babz did invent the hit daytime talk show after all!
May 16th should be deemed Barbara Walters Day with all the programming ABC will be running in honor of the TV veteran’s departure from TV appearances!
After she leaves The View, ABC will run a two-hour primetime special on her career! They also announced Barbara will forever be a part of the ABC news team and will make special appearances as news warrants.
Does that mean she’ll be coming back for her Barbara Walters’ 10 Most Fascinating People specials?!
