Well it looks like Becky G is taking this whole acting thing pretty seriously.
Now that she’s had a guest appearance on Disney‘s Austin & Ally, and landed a spot on season 2 of Empire, the 18-year-old is setting her sights on feature films.

And it looks like she’s getting what she wants because it was announced on Friday that the singer will be playing the Yellow Ranger in the upcoming Power Rangers reboot!
The franchise took to Twitter to make the big reveal, posting:

The California native also used the status-sharing site to express how excited she is, writing:

Now that the pop princess has joined the team, all the superheroes have been selected!
Dacre Montgomery will play the Red Ranger, Naomi Scott is going to be the Pink Ranger, RJ Cyler was cast as the Blue Ranger, and Ludi Lin is the Black Ranger!
The upcoming flick is set to hit theaters in 2017, which will be 20 years since the last time the powerful squad was seen on the big screen!
