Ben Stiller Remembers Robin Williams -- "Represented What It Meant To Be Funny"

ben stiller remembers robin williams twitter It's been a hard time for everyone in Hollywood after the passing of Robin Williams, but the words people are remembering him by are truly heartwarming and inspiring. What we're hearing from everyone who has ever worked with Robin is that not only was he an incredible comedian, he was a stand-up guy as well. And it looks like Ben Stiller is just the latest celebrity co-star of Robin's to share the same sentiments. The Night of the Museum actor took to Twitter upon hearing of Robin's death, saying:

Ben and Robin starred together in the first two Night at the Museum movies and are actually top billing in the third movie of the franchise, Secret of the Tomb, which is set for a Dec. 19th, release. Noting that he needed to share more than 140 characters on the passing of one of his idols, Ben released a longer statement, saying:

"I always had this little voice inside of me going, 'you are acting with Robin Williams! This is the coolest thing ever!' I think most people my age have the same feeling — that he, Steve Martin, and Bill Murray sort of represented what it meant to be funny. He made such a big impact on the world. So there is the man, and his talent, and I think in his case, both were extraordinary."

Wow. Such strong words during such a sad time. We hope that Robin's friends and family are touched by the kind words that all of Hollywood has been sharing for the late, great actor. Ch-ch-check out the trailer for Robin and Ben's last movie together, Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb. (below)
