The Billy Ray Cyrus and Firerose problems are FAR from over!
As you’ll recall, the country star and the Aussie musician were married for just under a year, and by the time their marriage came to an end in mid-2024, things got messy. Billy Ray filed for divorce from the 37-year-old, seemingly suggesting she cheated — and that’s when she denied it and hit back with her own, much more worrying, allegations.
She claimed the 64-year-old domestically abused her, citing “extreme verbal, emotional, and psychological abuse”. She went on to publicly accuse him of abuse across social media after this, and she continues to do so, but her parents tell a different story.
Per what her folks Stephen and Debbie told PageSix on Tuesday, the allegations of “narcissistic abuse” and “systemic isolation” are total lies — and Billy Ray did nothing wrong! Firerose’s father said:
“It’s important to set the record straight about the lie that Billy Ray cut her off from her family. That is not true. Cutting her off from her family had nothing to do with Billy Ray.”
Her parents say she “completely cut off all communication with us” back in 2020, way before she and Billy Ray married in 2023.

Stephen went on to claim when Firerose moved to El Lay at age 19, her parents were the ones paying for everything:
“She went to LA to become an actress. We, her parents, paid for the planet ticket, acting school fees for 18 months, a car and her living expenses there — for several years.”
Then, when she started to struggle with addiction and they tried to help her recover, per Debbie, is when she and her husband got cut off:
“Before she cut us off she had a history over years of cutting many other people out of her life, telling us that they had exploited her or victimized her in some way.”
Her parents noted her dream was always to become a star, and seemed to suggest maybe her marriage was a means to an end:
“She obviously gained publicity through marrying Billy Ray Cyrus.”
But at the end of the day, her folks say they’re hurt by getting cut off like they claim:
“By estranging herself from us, her loving family, she has caused us enormous pain.”
As for what Firerose has to say? Her rep told the outlet that her claims of isolation didn’t have anything to do with her parents, but her friends. And they claim she cut off contact with them way before 2020:
“She has been in no-contact with the individuals you referenced [her parents] for over a decade — well before her relationship with Mr. Cyrus began. As such, they do not have firsthand knowledge of her adult life or the relationship in question.”
Damn!
