Are YOU still rooting for a decade-and-a-half later reconciliation between exes Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston?? Probably not as much as their old friend Melissa Etheridge!
The Come To My Window singer used to be good pals with the actors, back when they were together. She even performed at their wedding in 2000. On Monday night’s episode of Watch What Happens Live, Andy Cohen, who is currently hosting the late night talk show from his home, asked Melissa for her opinion on the affectionate viral moment the exes shared a couple months ago, back during award season.

Melissa first joked:
“I was hoping I could do your show without mentioning her whose name will not be mentioned.”
In case you didn’t realize, the one getting the Voldemort treatment there is Angelina Jolie. But we’ll get back to that. On Brad and Jen, she said wistfully:
“I loved Brad and Jen together. They were beautiful and I believe they will always remain friends because they are two very special people that can get through anything. I hope that their friendship lasts.”
What a hopeful sentiment. But speaking of hope — doesn’t she still want them to be more than friends?? You bet! She added:
“Of course we would always [want them to get back together]. Those were the glory days, like you were saying. I remember those days, so yeah.”
Do YOU think Brad and Jen are OTP? If Melissa voiced that hope before, it’s no wonder she wasn’t exactly friendly with Angelina.
But to hear her tell it, way back in 2016 around the time of the divorce and subsequent abuse allegations, Angie caused Brad to sever ties with quite a few friends. She told Andy at the time:
“I really hope that he reaches back out because there are a lot of us who haven’t seen him in 10 years. And it was hard then. We all lost a friend.”
She also said:
“I was around when Angelina was not doing nice things with Billy Bob to Laura Dern. I went through that on a personal level, and then to know the side of Jennifer and Brad…”
If you don’t remember, just as with Brad and Jen, Billy Bob Thornton was with Laura Dern when Angie entered his life. So yeah, it’s safe to say Melissa is not a fan.
