On Thursday, Britney Spears finally left the mental health facility she had been staying in for weeks (or months depending on who you listen to).
Officially, Britney made the very mature choice to check herself into the wellness center because she was having a hard time dealing with stress.
That version was disputed by the #FreeBritney movement and its ringleaders who believed her father had made that up — and that the pop idol was being held against her will.

They speculated Jamie Spears was also responsible for the cancellation of Britney’s scheduled Las Vegas residency show, Domination, which had supposedly been because of his health issues making her unable to focus.
The fan concern seems to have been largely misplaced; Brit herself has come forward and said she was not being held — just going through some stuff.
And now she’s basically proved it; no sooner did we hear Britney had decided she was ready to go home and continue her road to recovery there than she was out.
Now a source tells Page Six everything is working out as she’s “home and happy.”
We’re also hearing she’s looking forward to reuniting with her sons, Sean and Jayden, who were staying with Kevin Federline full time while Momma was away.
A “family insider” confirmed to People the singer “is back at home and is very happy about it and that she will be “spending the weekend with her boys and Sam.”
That’s referring to boyfriend Sam Asghari, who seems to be one heck of a support pillar for Brit right now.
We are so happy for her!
However, to stay in that healthy zone it seems sacrifices must be made.
We had gotten the impression getting back to work, well, working it, on the stage was something Britney needed to keep healthy — both for the routine and the fulfillment.
But maybe not?
The Page Six source heavily implied the recovery would continue to delay Britney’s music career. The insider said she was “looking forward to keeping her stress level as low as possible and to just relax.”
Unfortunately that apparently means no live shows or new album — for a while anyway.
The source adds though Britney’s journey is going well, she is taking “small steps” and “there’s a way to [go]” yet.
Hey, if the price for Britney not being a patient is us being patient? We can live with that.
