Brittany Mahomes is rethinking her support of Donald Trump — all because he attacked her bestie Taylor Swift!
On Monday, a source told DailyMail.com that the NFL wife is “questioning” her political stance after the Republican candidate declared he hates the pop star following her Kamala Harris endorsement. The insider dished:
“She is questioning her support for Donald Trump after he lashed out at Taylor, saying he hates her.”

As for why this affected her so much, the confidant elaborated:
“This deeply bothered Brittany because Taylor is like a sister to her and she has done absolutely nothing wrong. She didn’t mention Trump in her post and is allowed to speak her mind.”
Well, that tracks. Brittany was criticized for supporting Trump on Instagram last month and she clapped back by slamming adult haters, arguing:
“To be a hater as an adult, you have to have some deep rooted issues you refuse to heal from childhood. There’s no reason your brain is fully developed and you hate to see others doing well.”
So, we suppose that since now the former President is clearly a T-Swift hater (although that’s been obvious for a while), she’s irritated. The source continued:
“She does not believe in hate in any form and loves Taylor so much. This shook her to the core.”
Wow!
But also… That is what “shook her to the core”?! And not all the other nefarious things Donny’s done?? Like, seriously?! One fan perfectly pointed out why this is so mind-boggling, noting on X (Twitter):

And yet despite feeling frustrated over Trump’s latest comment, this doesn’t mean Brittany’s had a total change of heart! In fact, don’t expect her to change up her vote — because the source doesn’t think she’s that mad! Instead, it is believed that Britt might stop talking about her candidate of choice publicly, the source speculated:
“This doesn’t mean she is suddenly voting Kamala. It has just made her more aware of supporting him so publicly.”
Yeah, so, nothing has changed then? TBH, it sounds like she’s just trying to save her reputation more than anything. Maybe she’s finally realizing that her husband Patrick Mahomes‘ decision not to share his political views is the better way to go — at least when she’s supporting such a controversial figure. Although, by now, it’s a little late for that. She’s already put her opinions out there. And Trump has praised her several times for it! Everyone knows where she stands!
FWIW, despite one sighting together at the US Open, Taylor and Brittany have seemingly been avoiding each other at Kansas City Chiefs games so far. Maybe Brittany’s hoping that if she tones it down on socials, she’ll get back in Taylor’s good graces?? Seems like the biggest reason she’d decide to stay quiet now, right? Fans seem to think so!
