Hank is going to Broadway!!
No, the show is NOT being turned into Broadway play! (That would be WAY too dirty for the stage!)
Season 6 of Californication will be set in the fabulous theater district of NYC.
The reason behind the move is…. (SPOILER ALERT!) David Duchovny‘s character, Hank, will be producing a stage play based on his novel.
A show insider said:
“This season, Hank├óΓé¼Γäós going to get Smash├óΓé¼╦£d. That is, a storyline in which his novel gets turned into a Broadway musical might make the Showtime series briefly resemble the NBC series.”
But don’t expect to see a bunch of straight-laced Rachel Berrys joining the cast! CAfornicasion‘s newest characters will be:
“Aging rocker Atticus Fetch, who├óΓé¼Γäós been hired to write the tunes, and Faith, his good girl-gone-bad muse.”
We would LOVE to see Russell Brand in that part!
He may be a tad young, but anyone that’s seen Get Him to the Greek or Forgetting Sarah Marshall know he could totes pull it off!
That is… if he isn’t deported first.
