Calista Flockhart is still upset over the eating disorder rumors that plagued her in the late ’90s while she was starring on the hit TV series, Ally McBeal.
Calistay says the gossip damaged her career because nobody wanted to work with someone who was rumored to have a problem.
She adds:
“I still weigh exactly what I did back then. I’ve always been thin. I have small bones. It (rumors of an eating disorder) was horrible, completely out of control. It didn’t matter what I did, if I ordered food or not… I tried to ignore it, but I’m sure it was damaging to my career. I became depressed. I thought, ‘Well, this can’t help me get a job’ – nobody wants to hire someone who has a problem.”
Calista does have a very small body frame, but she is right – she’s hardly changed over the years.
Although, we wouldn’t argue too much with her success. She still stars on another hit TV series, Brothers and Sisters.
