It’s been a few days now since Cameron Boyce passed away suddenly in his sleep, and Hollywood is still reeling from the loss of the talented, popular young actor far before his time.
But along with the mourning and sadness has come a wave of positive comments and condolences about Boyce — and that fact has buoyed the Disney Channel star’s father, who took to Twitter late Sunday night to thank fans for all of that support.

Victor Boyce shared his feelings with all of Cameron’s fans, noting how overwhelmed he was with those coming from all angles to honor the late 20-year-old man.
He tweeted (below):
I’m overwhelmed with the love and support our family has received. It really does help to ease the pain of this nightmare I can’t wake up from. I can’t thank you guys enough.

A tragedy to have such a good person die so young, and social media support from fans and fellow celebs can’t possibly compare to the mourning, but it must be heartening to know how much of an impact his son had on the world in such a short time.
Cameron had only turned 20 in May, and he’d been working hard to transition his career away from Disney and onto more adult fare, including filming an HBO series in the months leading up to his passing. Furthermore, as we’d reported the other day, Boyce had also been working to raise money for a clean water non-profit — an impressive facet to a well-rounded young man.
Not surprisingly, the cast of Descendants 3 — Boyce’s most recent project — was shocked to learn of Boyce’s untimely passing. A source revealed to E! News the death has rocked the cast to its core (below):
“The cast is in complete shock. They were getting ready for Descendants 3 press and had really been looking forward to being together again. The cast is incredibly close and this is such a devastating loss. They’ve all been texting since they got the news. It’s going to take a long process to heal. For now, they’re all leaning on each other to get through it and sending their love to his family.”
So sad… Our thoughts continue to be with all of those friends, family, and loved ones (and fans!) affected by Boyce’s sudden, untimely passing.
The Autopsy Is In…
Meanwhile, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner has revealed Boyce’s autopsy has been completed, but a cause of death has yet to officially be determined. According to a spokeswoman for the agency, this case has officially been deferred, pending further investigation.
We know Boyce had suffered a seizure leading up to his passing; it’s unclear, however, if the seizure itself was linked to the death or not. We’ll update you with the news as the Medical Examiner-Coroner’s office releases more information regarding their investigation.
