Celeste Rivas Murder: GRAPHIC Photos Of Slain Teen Shown In Day 1 Of D4vd’s Preliminary Hearing -- ‘Completely Unrecognizable’

[Warning: Potentially Triggering Content]

Gruesome new details have emerged in the tragic murder case of Celeste Rivas.

On Tuesday, singer D4vd’s multi-day preliminary court hearing kicked off in in Los Angeles Superior Court three months after he was charged with first-degree murder, continuous sexual abuse of a child under 14, and unlawful mutilation of human remains in the case of slain teen Celeste Rivas. As we’ve been following, the missing teen’s decomposing remains were found stuffed inside the trunk of D4vd’s Tesla last September after the vehicle was towed to an impound lot. And we now know what a “gruesome” state poor Celeste was found in.

On Tuesday, reporter Brian Entin took to X (Twitter) during a court break to relay some of the information that had been touched on during the hearing, including a first-hand report from the detective who discovered Celeste’s body. Brian said in a video:

“We knew that it was going to be gruesome. There were a lot of details we hadn’t heard about yet, and it is [gruesome.] They’ve been showing pictures from after they found Celeste Rivas Hernandez’s body when it was taken … allegedly out of D4vd’s trunk.”

Brian revealed Celeste’s family “is in the courtroom” so “you can imagine” how “emotional” they’ve been having to see the photos:

“Some of these details are hard to talk about, but they talk about two severed arms, two severed legs, a severed knee cap all in the front trunk of the Tesla.”

As we previously covered, Celeste’s remains were found completely hacked up and in a state of advanced decomposition. In court documents filed by prosecutors in April, it was alleged that D4vd made several alarming Amazon purchases in April and May 2025 after allegedly murdering Celeste. Per the report, included in his purchases were TWO chainsaws, a blue inflatable pool, heavy duty laundry bags, and a body bag.

Brian went on:

“They noticed on the right hand a tattoo that said, ‘Shhh,’ and on the left [hand] the  pinky finger was removed, it was cut off … A left hand was found in a black trash bag with two fingers severed.”

Prosecutors previously claimed that Celeste’s severed pinky and ring finger, which have still not been discovered, had a tattoo of D4vd’s name. It should be noted that D4vd has the same “Shhh” tattoo on his own finger.

Brian went on to share perhaps the most gut-wrenching detail of all: Celeste’s face was completely unrecognizable due to the state of her decomposition:

“They could not see a face … The question was, ‘When she was removed from the trunk, could you see a face?’ And the detective said ‘No, there was quite a bit of decomposition and skin slippage, so it was unrecognizable.’”

Skin slippage?! Our stomachs are turning. How awful for Celeste’s family to have to hear all these graphic details.

According to Rolling Stone, D4vd, born David Anthony Burke, showed no emotion as prosecutors presented the blood-curdling photos, which included shots of Celeste’s limbless torso in a black plastic bag, one of her dismembered limbs in another bag, one of her knee, which reportedly had blue specks embedded in it from the inflatable pool D4vd allegedly purchased to dismember Celeste in, and more.

This continues to be such a disturbing case. Our hearts truly go out to Celeste’s family. We hope she gets the justice she deserves.
