And everyone at CBS takes a collective sigh of relief.
So, Two and A Half Men isn’t getting cancelled. It’s going to have to take a break for about a month or so, but according to new reports, Charlie Sheen is slated to be back from rehab just in time to finish out the rest of the season. The producers have already worked out how the episodes will be made up and no one on the cast or crew will be fired.
But now here’s the thing. As always, this is contingent on Charlie being released from rehab in the next 3 to 4 weeks as promised. His “addiction specialist” told producers a month should do the trick to make Charlie good as new again, but it could take longer.
Call us skeptical, but we don’t think you can rectify over 30 years of destructive behavior in 4 weeks.
But for now, as Charlie Sheen fiddles with the rabbit ears on the common room TV to try and get Penthouse TV takes rehab seriously, the crew over at Two and a Half Men are breathing easy.
Let’s hope he doesn’t let them down again.
