They have to if they have any chance of saving their client’s ass!
Charlie Sheen’s lawyers have requested that all of Charlie’s statements be excluded from evidence in his trial case because according to Charlie, he was never read his Miranda rights on the scene!
When the officers arrived at his home that fateful Christmas morning and took him into custody, Charlie made some rather incriminating statements. However, his lawyers insist that Charlie wouldn’t have said anything had he been given the rundown about remaining silent, right to an attorney, etc.
Ah, c’mon! Anyone who has every watched T.V. knows that spiel. He should have known to keep his trap shut!
But wait! There’s more!
Team Sheen is also requesting the prosecution disclose “all attempts on the part of the alleged victim to supplement her statement to law enforcement…”
That pretty much means that his wife, Brooke Mueller, kept changing her story and the defense wants to know every detail of every story!
Looks like you might be getting what you are paying for, Charlie. You just may get off the hook again!
