Despite telling ET she was “shockingly” single earlier this month, the actress told the shock jock:

“I am dating, yes… No, I’m not in love. Why is that crazy?”

The 43-year-old elaborated:

“I want to be clear… is everybody listening?… I was raising two small children [three-year-old August and seven-year-old Jackson], and your life just becomes very all-consuming. They need you for everything. And I’m a single mom, I have one nanny. So, it’s not like I have a ton of help, and I really wanted to be a mom, so I was enjoying it.”

However, now that her kids are a bit older and more self-reliant, her “time is opening up a little bit more,” adding:

“[There’s] no pressure. I live a very simple life. I’m not a high-maintenance person. I’ve lived in the same house for 25 years. I don’t have, like, a bunch of homes; I have one home, I don’t have a staff of people. I like doing s**t for myself.”

The Oscar-winner split from longtime love Stuart Townsend in 2010 after they met on the set of their 2002 film, Trapped.
She then started dating Sean Penn in December 2013, announced her engagement to him in 2014, but the two eventually broke up in 2015.

While speaking to the Daily Mail UK earlier this month, Theron confirmed Jackson is transgender:

“Yes, I thought she was a boy, too. Until she looked at me when she was three years old and said: ‘I am not a boy!’ So there you go! I have two beautiful daughters who, just like any parent, I want to protect and I want to see thrive. They were born who they are and exactly where in the world both of them get to find themselves as they grow up, and who they want to be, is not for me to decide.'”

She added:

“My job as a parent is to celebrate them and to love them and to make sure that they have everything they need in order to be what they want to be. And I will do everything in my power for my kids to have that right and to be protected within that.”

The actress adopted Jackson in March 2012, and adopted August in July 2015.
