If you’re like us, you’re still tingling from Childish Gambino (also known as Donald Glover)’s jaw-dropping This Is America music video.
In case you somehow missed the revolutionary visual, the 34-year-old quadruple threat took a strong stance against gun violence, as he highlighted how automatic weapons are treated more delicately than human life in the U.S. Of course, the video didn’t stop there, as the Hiro Murai-directed project also touched on other social issues, like police brutality and race.

Unsurprisingly, the vid garnered quite a bit of A-list praise following its late night release on Saturday. Everyone from Taraji P. Henson to Adele to Bruno Mars have made sure to give Gambino/Glover a shout-out on social media.

Dirty 30! I’m not sure what I’m going to do for the next 30 years as I’ve been blessed beyond words in my life so far. Thank you to everyone for coming along for the ride the last 11 years with me. My family and friends for entertaining my super fandom of the Titanic movie. Last night was the best night of my life. Here’s a couple pics. I’m absolutely fucked, not sure I’ll make it out the house again! Ps Childish Gambino how the hell do you have time to offer us so much greatness on so many platforms. Childish Gambino’s video dropped out the heavens like Nicolas Cage in City of Angels. So grateful for this powerful and thought-provoking video after such a yikes ass week in hip hop.
