Chris Cornell Seemed 'High' & 'Fucked Up' During Last Concert, Says Longtime Employee

Chris Cornell's funeral is set for Friday.
Chris Cornell
‘s passing still leaves some questions up in the air.
In the wake of his death, the Soundgarden frontman’s longtime house engineer Ted Keedick tells TMZ the singer seemed “out of character” during his Detroit performance — hours before he committed suicide.
In fact, Ted says Chris, who had a past of drug use, seemed “high” and “fucked up” during the show.

While there’s been no concrete evidence to prove the sound engineer’s speculation, he reveals:

“Chris was out of character from note 1 of the show. I’ve never heard or seen him that way before, at least if we did not cancel a show… I’d never heard his voice that way before. He was having serious control problems.”

He adds there was also a point during the concert where he phoned someone backstage to see what was wrong with Cornell.
Despite the odd behavior, Keedick also says the singer didn’t seem depressed, and that he was actually in “good spirits” during their sound check earlier in the night.
As we’ve previously reported, the star’s wife mentioned how he told her he had taken “an extra Ativan or two.”
Sounds like no one will know for sure what was going on with Chris until the full autopsy report is revealed.
