Christian Bale’s gearing up for two very important events: The Oscars (congrats, again) and the beginning of production on the third and rumored final installment of Chris Nolan’s Batman franchise, The Dark Knight Rises.
But what if this isn’t the last movie? Fans can’t help but wonder if maybe there’s another story to be told and are curious if Chris would even be game to star in a fourth movie as the Caped Crusader.
Let us ease your minds – the answer is “yes.”
When asked if he would be willing to throw the suit on again, Christian revealed he would, so long as Chris was at the helm. He explained:
“If Chris goes ‘Hey, I’ve got another story I think could be interesting’, then yeah, great, I’d go do that. I always assumed it would be three, but I could be wrong.”
A trilogy sounds like a safe bet to us, but you never know. Should the third one exceed everyone’s expectations (which are already pretty high), then perhaps the gang will get back together for another one.
