DWTS Episode 6: Kellie Pickler & Derek Hough Stand Tall During Stevie Wonder Tribute!

After dedicating episode 5 to the Boston Marathon tragedy last week, Dancing with the Stars is back to their normal program, but this time, they honored a very special person!
Stevie Wonder was the guest of honor on Monday night’s episode, and while all his songs blasted through the ballroom while our favorite celebs did their thing, Kellie Pickler and Derek Hough claimed the number one spot once again!!
The leading couple did a quickstep to Wonder’s Part-Time Lover, which earned them a total of 29 points and was “the best dance I’ve seen on season 16,” according to judge Len Goodman.
But of course, since Zendaya and her partner Val Chmerkobskiy have been on top throughout season 16, they also earned 29 points for their performance of Do I Do.
Falling not too far behind was Aly Raisman and Mark Ballas for their foxtrot, which earned them 27 points, and while Jacoby Jones and Karina Smirnoff may not be on top, they still received 23 points for their act to For Once in My Life.
Ingo Rademacher and Kym Johnson got their highest score of the series last night with 24 points, and Sean Lowe and Peta Murgatroyd held on with 21 points.
Andy Dick and Sharna Burgess and Victor Ortiz and Lindsay Arnold did not surprise us as they only received 18 points for their steps, which has definitely put all of them in a place for elimination.
And because there’s only eight couples left, the second part of the show was made up of four couples performing at the same time, which included Team Samba ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ Kellie and Derek, Andy and Sharna, Sean and Peta and Aly and Mark and Team Paso ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ Zendaya and Val, Victor and Lindsay, Jacoby and Karina, and Ingo and Kym.
Team Samba finished with 25 extra points for their Superstition performance and Team Paso garnered 22 points for their Higher Ground routine.
Elimination is tonight, and we have a hunch about who’s gonna be a goner!!
Ch-ch-check out Pickler and Hough doing their thing (above), and don’t forget to watch the clips (below)!
