This was the moment we had all been waiting for… The premiere of Dancing with the Stars season 16, and now that it aired last night, we got the rundown of how it turned out!!!
OK, for starters, D.L. Hughley tried to come on stage looking like a PIMP while smoking a cigar, but he unfortunately didn’t throw the show up in smoke because he didn’t have his groove. He only received 12 points and judge Bruno Tonioli told him that he “terminated the cha cha cha,” while Carrie Ann Inaba said: “I have some bad news. You’ve got to go back to work and practice a little harder for next week.”
However, just like there’s always a lowlight, Disney channel’s 16-year-old actress, Zendaya turned up the dance floor with her contemporary dance, and with the help of her partner Val Chmerkovskiy, they earned a whopping 24 points.
Miz Inaba was so impressed that she couldn’t help but say: “Amazing! You are a fantastic dancer with a maturity that is unexpected out of a 16-year-old.”
Dorothy Hamill also came out on top garnering 21 points with her contemporary dance, which made judge Len Goodman say, “that dance should be designated as an area of outstanding beauty.”
Now that’s one MAJOR compliment!!
Unfortunately for Wynonna Judd, even though she did an AH-MAYZING job, Carrie Ann couldn’t help but say that her gospel cha cha needed “a little more” oomph.
Even though it’s really hard to imagine that a comical man like Andy Dick could be so light on his feet, he managed to rack up 17 points with his partner Sharna Burgess after performing their smooth foxtrot.
As for other dancers, The Bachelor‘s Sean Lowe got 19 points, Kellie Pickler scored 21 points, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Vanderpump and her pooch, Giggy took home 18 points and Victor Ortiz‘s boogie got him 18 points.
And to top off the night, Soap star Ingo Rademacher came out with 20 points, Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman earned 21 points for her very seksi cha cha and Baltimore Ravens star Jacoby Jones soared high with 20 points.
DWTS will be back next Monday, and although we like when the show progresses, we also have to deal with eliminations. Someone is gonna be DROPPED from the show, and from the looks of things, we think that someone is *cough* D.L. LOLz
