On Tuesday, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue unveiled its highly anticipated cover — and it’s starring a fresh faced model! 24-year-old Danielle Herrington, who made her rookie debut in 2017, has officially landed the coveted SI front page. And, boy, does she look GORGEOUS!!

Our jaws have dropped!! Danielle also makes history with this shoot, as she is only the third black woman to make the cover since the franchise’s foundation in 1964.
As you may recall, Tyra Banks was the first woman of color to grace the cover as she posed alongside Valeria Mazza in 1996. By 1997, the America’s Next Top Model personality was solo on the front of the mag. Thus, we’re thrilled to learn that Tyra greeted Danielle at the SI office and presented her with the mag.
Herrington is certainly new to the professional game as her first catwalk occurred during Philipp Plein‘s Spring 2017 show in September. However, the California native says she has been modeling since she was 13. Well, hard work pays off!!
