Dear Future Husband — please don’t embarrass us by getting yourself arrested for something really petty and ridiculous, like say, vandalism.
Meghan Trainor didn’t think to include a verse on avoiding legal trouble in her otherwise oddly specific 2015 hit, but it turns out that might have been some good advice — because here we are in 2019, and her current husband did just that!
Mr. Trainor, AKA Daryl Sabara, was charged with two misdemeanors last week for an incident which took place last Spring in which the actor allegedly tore open a car with his bare hands.

Yep, the previously precocious star of the first three Spy Kids movies was walking near the UCLA campus when he came across a parked car and allegedly began ripping off the custom side panels. Law enforcement sources told TMZ he ran from the scene.
Unfortunately the IRL Juni ain’t much of a spy — the entire incident was apparently caught on the surveillance cameras of a nearby housing complex, hence Sabara eventually getting charged for the March 5 crime.
The child star is facing one count of vandalism and one count of tampering with a vehicle. His arraignment is scheduled for later this month.
Innerestingly, the alleged crime is apparently completely random — the vehicle owner has no idea why this happened at all and claims not to know Daryl personally (and, let’s be honest, probably won’t be much of a fan from now on either).
The 27-year-old has worked fairly steadily since his time as a junior secret agent in Robert Rodriguez‘s family-friendly espionage franchise. He has had recurring roles on Weeds and as a voice actor on cartoons like Ben 10.
However, he’s mostly known these days as being the future husband Meghan once sang about. The two were married in December of last year and have been working together ever since; Daryl has starred in two of her music videos, and to hear her tell it he’s more involved behind the scenes, too.
In fact, in an interview with ET given just days after the alleged car incident back in March, she gushed:
“Marriage is great, though. He sings backup on every single song I write now. He’s in the tracks, the background tracks, and he actually writes songs with me now too. He’s learning. He’s like, ‘This is my dream,’ because he loves music. So, this is a dream come true.”
Well, we guess he’s also living the out-of-control rock star part of his dream?
