Tori Spelling's Son Asked If He Was 'Obese' After Getting Body-Shamed By Online Trolls!

Dean McDermott's son got body-shamed!

Dean McDermott reveals how his 12-year-old son, Liam, reacted after getting body-shamed by online trolls.
In January, after wife Tori Spelling shared a photo on Instagram of her family at A Dog’s Way Home screening, social media users criticized her children’s appearance.

This week, on his Daddy Issues podcast with Nicky Paris and Adam Hunter, the former Chopped Canada host opened up about how the negative comments affected Liam.
The 52-year-old dished:

“Liam picked it up… He said, ‘Dad, am I obese?’ I said, ‘Look buddy — there’s some sick people in the world… and they need to say bad things about people.'”

He also told the young man:

“‘Think about it, son. You have a busy life. You have school, you got sports. Do you think you have time to go on Instagram, scroll through the people that you’re following, and make a negative comment about somebody?’ I said, ‘No, you don’t. You don’t, and if you did, you’d fill your time with something else. So think about how sick these people are that they have to do that.'”

Back in January, one critic asked, “why do you let your kids get so fat?” while another questioned why the children look “terrible.”
In response, McDermott clapped back by penning:

“I am absolutely horrified and disgusted by the comments being left about my children. Body shaming and bullying my children??!! What is wrong with you people??!!”

He added:

“For your information, we went from a long day at school to the movie. And I don’t know any child that is NOT disheveled at the end of the day. Not to mention that just before this picture was taken, they were wresting and running around with all the other kids that were at the movie. So I apologize we didn’t get the iron and steamer out to make them perfect for you. Their kids. They’re messy and dirty. That’s what they do. And what’s wrong with shopping at Target??!! Over half of America shops there. The way they grow out of clothing so quickly is astounding. Are we supposed to shop at Gucci?? These are kids folks. Messy stinky little bundles of fun, laughter and love. As far as saying my children are over weight, well that’s just mean and Un-called for. They’re going through different growth phases, and even if our children are on the bigger side. Who cares. They’re happy and healthy and I’m sorry they don’t look like skinny supermodels. People come in all shapes and sizes. So who are you to judge. You should all be ashamed of yourselves for passing such horrible judgement on innocent beautiful children. Shame on you all!!!! Thank you to all the people who came to our defense. You’re all kind compassionate souls. Down with the haters!! Up with love!!

Additionally, in February, the Beverly Hills, 90210 actress echoed her husband’s sentiments by telling Us Weekly:

“Celebrities have feelings and then when you cross a line and you go after children… that is just wrong and shame on you. The thing that I hate too are these internet cowboys who have these made-up titles that they hide behind and… have private accounts. You want something, you have something to say, say it to my face, and tell me who you are.”
