Dear Abby Creator Pauline Phillips Has Died At Age 94

Dear Mourning,
We have sad news to report.
Pauline Phillips, the Dear Abby creator, who was also known as Abigail Van Buren, has sadly passed away at the age of 94.
Ms. Phillips had been battling Alzheimer’s for several years now, and since then, her daughter Jeanne Phillips has taken over the advice column and confirmed the news with the following statement:

“I have lost my mother, my mentor and my best friend. My mother leaves very big high heels to fill with a legacy of compassion, commitment and positive social change. I will honor her memory every day by continuing this legacy.”

She certainly will leave a legacy of proper manners, common sense, and just all-around good advice. She will be greatly missed!
