Taking a look back at her recovery journey, she penned:

“Today I would’ve been 7 years sober. I don’t regret going out because I needed to make those mistakes but I must never forget that’s exactly what they were: mistakes.”

The starlet continued in her series of posts:

“Grateful that AA/NA never shuts the door on you no matter how many times you have to start your time over. I didn’t lose 6 years, I’ll always have that experience but now I just get to add that time with a new journey and time count.”

Demi finished:

“If you’ve relapsed and are afraid to get help again, just know that it’s possible to take that step towards recovery. If you’re alive today, you can make it back. You’re worth it”

As you surely know, last July the 26-year-old was hospitalized after nearly dying from an overdose.
While some details surrounding the scary incident still haven’t been confirmed, it was revealed that Demi would be spending three months in a treatment facility.
In fact, Lovato broke her silence by writing on social media at the time:

“I have always been transparent about my journey with addiction. What I’ve learned is that this illness is not something that disappears or fades with time. It is something I must continue to overcome and have not done yet,. I want to thank God for keeping me alive and well. I now need time to heal and focus on my sobriety and road to recovery. The love you have all shown me will never be forgotten and I look forward to the day where I can say I came out on the other side. I will keep fighting.”

Even more recently, the pop artist was said by a People source to have re-entered treatment to further her own well-being:

“She has not relapsed since she overdosed. She did recently go to a facility, but it was her own decision. It was one trip to a treatment facility for a few weeks outside of Los Angeles.”

We’re so proud of her as she continues to recover and put her health first!
