Denise Richards' Heartbreaking Reaction To Being Ordered To Pay Ex Aaron Phypers Shocking Amount In Divorce!

Denise Richards suffered a devastating blow amid her divorce from Aaron Phypers.

Page Six reported that in court on Thursday, Judge Nicole Bershon granted his request for temporary spousal support, ordering The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum to pay him $5,000 a month. She will also have to shell out a whopping $30,000 in attorney’s fees.

Whoa!

The judge clarified that the sum will only be applied to the divorce proceedings, not Aaron’s criminal defense. He is facing four felony counts at this time after Denise’s domestic violence allegations — two felony counts of injuring a spouse and two felony counts of dissuading a witness by force or threat. The $30,000 will be paid in thirds, and the first $10,000 is due at the end of March. As for the spousal support, Bershon broke it down to $2,000 a month for Aaron’s rent, $1,000 for his car, $1,000 for food, and the rest for miscellaneous expenses.

Wow. He got very lucky. Aaron, who claimed to only have $200, said the amount would “certainly help,” but he is taking things “one day at a time.” For her part, Denise had a heartbreaking reaction when the decision came. According to the California Post, the Bravo personality whispered that she couldn’t “afford” the hefty amount. In fact, Denise shared that she “could barely pay for [her] attorney” and had been “blowing through everything” she made while married to Aaron between 2018 and 2025.

She also noted that she has “nothing” invested. Meanwhile, her lawyer, Mark Gross, mentioned the “pretty extraordinary” cost of taking care of her 14-year-old daughter, Eloise, who suffers from a rare chromosomal disorder resulting in developmental delays.

And the biggest issue out of all this? What makes the decision so infuriating? Gross argued that “victims of abuse shouldn’t be required to support their abuser.” Remember, Denise got a permanent restraining order against the Quantum 360 founder in November 2025 due to his alleged physical and verbal abuse throughout their relationship. She claimed Aaron “frequently violently” choked her, squeezed her head with both of his hands, “tightly” squeezed her arms, slapped her face and head, slammed her head into a “bathroom towel rack [and more],” and threatened to kill her and/or himself if she ever reported the abuse. The actress had photo evidence to back her allegations, including a picture of a black eye she received after he allegedly hit her. His own cousin even supported her claims in court.

So how is it fair to make her shell out a boatload of money to her alleged abuser? It is pretty f**ked up and cruel, if you ask us! However, Aaron’s attorney pointed out that he has not been convicted yet.

We feel so bad for Denise! Ugh! What are YOUR thoughts, Perezcious readers? Sound OFF in the comments (below)!
