Here Is A Real Quote From Donald Trump's White House Team: 'This Was The Largest Audience To Ever Witness An Inauguration, Period'

Low numbers and now fudging them, too! Sad!
Donald Trump‘s new White House communications flack, Sean Spicer, just got done with a statement in which he (VERY angrily) slammed the media for what he called “deliberately false” coverage of crowd size at the inauguration yesterday.

Speaking to reporters just minutes ago, Spicer said in part:

“Yesterday, at a time when our nation and the world was watching the peaceful transition of power├óΓé¼┬ª some members of the media were engaged in deliberately false reporting … Photographs of the inaugural proceedings were intentionally framed in a way in one particular tweet to minimize the enormous amount of support that had gathered on the Mall … Inaccurate numbers involving crowd size were also tweeted.”

Uh-huh.
Suuuuuuuuure, Sean.
BREAKING: Piers Morgan… Still Awful!
Here’s the best part, though — Spicer, during his angry press conference, said the most patently ridiculous thing of ’em all when he dropped this little gem in the middle of the statement:

“This was the largest audience to ever witness an inauguration, period, both in person and around the globe.”

Uh… WHAT???
We know that’s wrong, both in person (Barack Obama‘s 2009 inauguration was multitudes bigger in D.C. on the National Mall, by any measure), and on television (like we reported earlier today, Trump’s TV ratings yesterday were brutally bad).
The Trump era is upon us, and it’s a disaster from day one…
